Will County, Illinois

Will County is one of the fastest growing counties in the country with a population of 682,518, according to the 2012 U.S. census. It covers 850 square miles and is bordered by Cook County to the northeast and Lake County, Indiana to the east, as well as, DuPage, Kankakee, Grundy, Kendall and Kane counties. The Des Plaines, Kankakee and Du Page rivers run it and join on its western border. The county, which was named after Dr. Conrad Will, a member of the first Illinois Constitutional Convention has 37 municipalities and 24 townships. Joliet is its largest city and the county seat.
